LEGAL POSITIONS - STAFF
Foreign Filing Specialist-Tysons Corner, VA    SALARY: Depending on experience
Foreign Filing Specialist needed in Northern Virginia office of large international law firm.  Ideal candidate will be able to provide foreign docket maintenance and follow-up, process foreign filings and originate reporting letters to clients.  You must be able to willing and able to  monitor and distribute incoming mail and review foreign outgoing mail.  You will also perform research, analysis and other duties as assigned by attornesy, agents, analysts and paralegals.  Good customer service skills are also required to ensure client satisfaction are maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years of PCT and national patent filing experience, excellent organizational and follow-through skills, the ability to multitask and deal with tight deadlines.  Each candidate should also have a strong attention to detail and the ability to perform routine tasks and maintain concentration for long periods of time.  Must have strong analytical skills, the ability to communicate effectively and share ideas, have a great "TEAM" work ethic, and effectively manage a large and on-going docket.  RELIABILITY AND DEPENDABILITY is essential, this position may require OVERTIME so flexibility regarding work schedule is required.

Litigation Practice Suport Specialist, Washington DC   Salary:  Depending on experience
DC office of prestigous international law firm is seeking a support specialist who will be required to; assist personnel in implement and customizing client technology solutions; assist personnel with electronic data management, file formating, electronic discovery, electronic court filing, document indexing, etc.  Will support data/image conversion, conduct factual research and analyze document data structures for import, export and formatting.  Must provide ongoing support and expertise to ensure that client technology and solutions continue to meet their needs.  This candidate must have the ability to work independently with limited direction, provide substantive technical guidance to attorneys, legal assistants and others throughout all offices to develop technical solutions to litigation client needs.  In this position you will act as the liaison between litigation technology support and other departments, such as Technology Services, to ensure client support is optimal.  Customer service skills are also required to ensure client services and satisfaction are attained in all areas of position.
QUALIFICATIONS:  Strong knowledge of Microsoft desktop products including Windows 2000 Professional and Office XP suite.  Knowledge of other software products such as PC Docs and other legal specific applications.  Candidates must have strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment.  Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills are essential.  Great organizational skills, the ability to work under tight deadlines and the ability to continually learn and utilize highly specialized software applications

Trademark Legal Secretary, Washington DC - Salary: Depending on Experience
The ideal candidate for the DC office of this large international law firm will be able to perform comlex secretarial, administrative, word processing and clerical support activities related to the specific work and function of the Trademark Practice Group with limited guidance.  Candidates with work with attorneys and supervisors to assist in the allocation of the work load, will assist with training others, provide leadership to the secretaries of the trademark department as wellas provide leadership to project team.  Overtime may be required.  Client satisfaction is this firms #1 goal, so each candidate must possess outstanding communication, verbal and written, skills as well as a superior customer service demeanor.  Duties will include Document prep from transcribing equipment, drafts, handwritten notes or oral instruction; Originate and reply to correspondence, prepare, edit and proofread daily timenotes as directed and other billing/collection efforts (timekeeping & billing).  Must be organized and have the ability to make appointments and creating interactive calendars to keep all apprised of due dates, appointments, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:  Previous Trademark legal secretarial experience IN A LAW FIRM.  Proficiency with Word, Outlook and other essential legal software applications such as Carpe Diem, Elite, AutoMat, etc.  Basic knowledge of Excel & Powerpoint.  Excelleng knowledge of court structure and systems including court rules and court websites with the ability to accurately prepare and complete and efiling.  Must have the ability to accurately prepare, file and effect service of documents in federal and state courts with limited guidance.  Typing speed of 70wpm preferred.  Must be flexible to work overtime hours as needed.
